Care Guide

Teak

Left untreated, FSC-certified teak weathers gracefully to a soft silver-grey patina without losing strength. If you prefer the original honey tone, clean with mild soapy water and apply a quality teak sealer once or twice a year. Avoid pressure washers and harsh solvents.

Aluminium

Wipe powder-coated aluminium with warm soapy water every few weeks — more often in coastal locations to remove salt deposits. Rinse and dry. Touch up any chips promptly to maintain corrosion protection.

All-weather rope & weave

Brush off debris and wash with mild soap and a soft brush. Rinse thoroughly. The UV-stabilised weave is designed for full sun, though covering or storing during long absences extends its life.

Cushions & fabric

Quick-dry foam cores allow cushions to live outside in summer. Spot-clean with mild detergent; most covers unzip for gentle machine washing in cold water. Store cushions during extended wet periods and over winter for best longevity.

Seasonal care

Before summer: wash frames, re-oil teak if desired, check fixings. Before winter: clean thoroughly, dry, and cover or store under shelter. Breathable covers are recommended — avoid sealed plastic wraps that trap moisture.
